What is the Basin?

Located in southeastern British Columbia, the Basin covers about 80,000 square kilometres—about 8.5 per cent of the entire province—and has a population of 165,000 people*.

Columbia Basin Trust serves the region consisting of all the watersheds that flow into the Columbia River in Canada and operates in the traditional territories of the Ktunaxa, Lheidli T’enneh, Secwepemc, Sinixt and Syilx Nations.
